Additions to a home can be great, increasing it's usability and value. But problems can occur if not done correctly or not well thought out. Such is the case with the below home located in Raleigh. During the home inspection we noted a gap between the chimney and addition and no flashing to properly divert water. Water always takes the path of least resistance.
